Hello Everyone

During my second day of Porto, Portugal I had the luxury of being able to walk around and see all the things that the square I was staying in had to offer. Be it great food, drinks and sights; the location had it all.

Later on in the day I had the opportunity to visit the Leça Swimming Pool designed by Portuguese architect Álvaro Siza Vieira. The design was well thought out and looks as beautiful in images as it does in person.  All around it was such a beautiful day surrounded by beautiful design, and not to the mention the sunset.

Hello Everyone 

This women's boutique situated in Cape Town, Africa was recently completed and I must say, to perfection. The array of subtle colours with the immediate hit of forest green and burnt orange are a wonderful combination. For me, this is commercial design done correctly. From the artificial lighting to the natural lighting, all the way down to a subtle change in floor to wall colours, this shop is an Interior Designer's heaven.

Hello Everyone

SAI Architecture Design Office have recently completed this family home in Osaka, Japan, that has perfectly incorporated both indoors and outdoors. Despite it being a large trend currently I still don't believe that I'm over it. 

The tree that is central to the home gives the family the opportunity to sit inside, but still have a wonderful view of the surrounding landscape. With this, I feel as though Japanese architecture firms get it right every time. They all understand the perfect ratio of not having too much nor too little, but only incorporating the simpliest of materials and colours.

(Now you understand why it's my favourite :)
